SYL – 2011 things that went right

I stumbled across Deb’s Home Life Simplified blog and found the 52 week challenge. It sounds like the perfect challenge for me as I finish up my time as a SAHM and begin full time work again in 2012. I love my job but am concerned about creating a happy household, finding a work/home balance, maintaining quality relationships and spending fun times with my family that do not revolve around keeping the house clean.

I have been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, and thanks to Deb and her inspiring words and simple instructions I just went ahead and did it. (Thanks Deb)

2011 – Things that went right

Many things made me feel happy. I spent the year as a SAHM with my three children. We have had so many wonderful experiences together, learning, playing, exploring and growing. I just love to watch them every day.

I completed a Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood and even got my first HD!

Our family spent quality time together on various family holidays. In March we went to my sisters wedding and spent time with my parents and family from America who come over for the occasion. It is so nice to see extended family especially at such a happy event. In October we drove to QLD and had a wonderful week in the sunshine on the Gold Coast. It was our first family holiday as five people.

I received news of my new job placement and was extremely relieved when it was exactly what I hoped for and even happier to find myself working on the campus just down the road.

Having completed this weeks challenge I will quickly (fingers crossed) work out how to link up so that I can share with others attempting this journey. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts and will HOPEFULLY soon be commenting and connecting with you :)
